Ipswich Town Football Club have launched a new education programme, sponsored by the Seckford Foundation, aimed at inspiring youngsters in literacy. The club is hoping to get involved with many schools across Suffolk, Red Oak being one of them, thus strengthening its links within the community. As part of this programme, all local primary schools are being given the opportunity to become a Friend of Ipswich Town Football Club for the 2014/15 season.

Benefits: What will the school get?
On the 7th of March a group of our children where invited to go watch Ipswich FC vs Brentford FC at Ipswichs home ground, Portman Road. For most of the children this was the first time they had been to a real stadium to see a live football game. The excitement was obvious and a fantastic day was had by all. The score finished 1-1 and the children should be proud of themselves as their behaviour was fantastic. The day was finished off with the children buying a match programme as a reminder of their day.
