Thank you so much to our good friends at Kirkley and Pakefield FC for kindly donating our school with two heavy duty football goals, we will use these goals in our after school football clubs and football tournaments. Thank you so much to Jonny (Jude and Ellis’s dad) and Rob (Oliver and George’s dad) for arranging for our school to have the goals and for dropping them off to us today. ⚽️ 🤩

📸 Photography Competition 2026 Winners 📸 A huge congratulations to our Photography Competition winners for 2026! This year's theme was 'Wildlife', and we received some fantastic entries from children across the school. The creativity, patience and photographic talent on display made the judging process incredibly challenging. This year, the winners were selected by one of our Year 6 leavers, who did an amazing job choosing a winner from each year group. With so many outstanding photographs entered, it was certainly not an easy task! Well done to all the children who took part, and congratulations once again to our winners. 💦🎉 **A Huge Thank You!** 🎉💦 A massive thank you to everyone who supported last week's **Water Challenge**! Thanks to your incredible generosity and enthusiasm, we are delighted to share that we have raised an amazing **£3,000 for the PTA**! 🎊 It was wonderful to see so many children (and adults! 😊) getting involved, having fun, and making some fantastic memories along the way. 🌞🦍🐯 **What an Extraordinary Day at Thrigby Hall!** 🐊🌿 RJS had an incredible visit to Thrigby Hall and, despite the heat, they showed remarkable independence throughout the day. The children confidently explored the zoo, taking in all the amazing animals and attractions on offer. From being captivated by the playful **gibbons** and majestic **tigers** to getting up close with the fascinating **crocodiles**, there was excitement around every corner! 🌟 Residential Update 🌟 Good evening everyone, The children have had a fantastic day packed full of exciting activities! They’ve enjoyed raft building, archery, axe throwing, assault courses, zip lines and climbing – what an adventure! 🧗‍♂️🏹 They’ve now had their tea and are looking forward to a lovely evening around the bonfire, toasting marshmallows 🔥🍡 Unfortunately, there is no internet access at the site, so we’re unable to upload photos today. 🌈✨ Elmer Day Fun in Reception! ✨🌈 Prior to the half term break, our Reception classes had a wonderful time celebrating Elmer Day by dressing up in bright and colourful outfits! 🐘🎨 They also made their own Elmer-inspired pictures—drawing themselves and writing about what makes them unique. 💛 The children really enjoyed celebrating their differences and expressing their creativity through vibrant designs and thoughtful ideas about themselves. ✨ Year 3 Get Creative in 3D! ✨ Year 3 had a fantastic time putting their sculpture skills into practice as they explored working in 3D! 🎨 The children worked brilliantly together, making thoughtful choices about how to join materials and bring their ideas to life. They experimented with a range of techniques including folding, rolling, twisting, and creating tabs to help their structures stand upright. It’s been wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in action — well done, Year 3! 👏😊

🎶 What a musical treat for 5AD! 🎶 On Tuesday, the class enjoyed three fantastic performances from Stanley, Aiden and Sophia. All three pupils are self‑taught on their instruments, which made their performances even more impressive. What a talented bunch we have – we’re so proud of them! 🌟🎵

🌊✨ Year 2 Trip to Southwold ✨🌊 Year 2 had a fantastic day visiting Southwold 🚌🏖️! The children loved learning all about the lighthouse 🚨 and the Alfred Corry lifeboat ⚓. We were so impressed by how many facts they could remember and how enthusiastic they were throughout the day 📚⭐ A wonderful day of learning outside the classroom! 😊👏

Arley was the overall top scorer in the whole tournament! Our team played some wonderful cricket and demonstrated great teamwork to finish top of the league. We are very proud of all of you. Well done to super goalkeeper Parker for playing for the Norwich City Under 8s team against Premier League teams Man City and Wolves recently 🤩. He also played some great games against other top football clubs such as Leicester City, Reading, Middlesbrough and Swansea as well as playing against Danish side FC Copenhagen! He also made a visit to the Manchester United Old Trafford stadium 🏟️. Well done Parker, we are so proud of all of the progress that you are making in the Norwich City Academy. 🤩 ⚽️ 🧤 🧤 🥅

🐾 Learning Behaviours Relaunched at Red Oak Primary! 🐾 We’re excited to share that the children at Red Oak Primary have officially relaunched our Learning Behaviour characters — and this time they’ve been creatively linked to animals! 🦊🦉🐢 Our pupils took part in a fantastic competition to design the new characters and wrote their own statements explaining what each learning behaviour means to them. The creativity, thoughtfulness and enthusiasm they showed has been brilliant to see, and the results are something to be really proud of. Some of our Year 6 junior sports leaders attended an after school club recently where they wrote to their favourite sporting heroes. We then sent the letters off for them. ✉️ 🤞 Oliver in Year 6 wrote to his favourite footballer, Senne Lammens (Manchester United’s goalkeeper). Oliver was over the moon this week to receive a reply from Manchester United, a club badge and a hand signed photo of Senne Lammens! Thank you to Manchester United FC and Senne Lammens for making one of our sports leaders a very happy young man!

Well done to our three Year 5/6 hockey teams for playing some great hockey at the recent North Suffolk Sports and Health Partnership hockey festival which was held at East Point Academy recently. All three of our teams demonstrated great teamworking skills and won lots of their hockey games. Our A team (gold team) managed to finish in first place overall in the points scoring challenge to win the trophy and gold medals and they also finished in first place for the teamworking award! 🤩 We are so proud of all three of our teams. Thank you to North Suffolk Sports and Health Partnership and to East Point Academy for organising the event.
